What an amazing local country store to stumble upon while heading north. So much great locally sourced produce to chose from. I didn't know where to start. I would've needed another suitcase to take everything back that I wanted to. The lady serving me (owner?) was extremely friendly and obliging.

Our Story

Johnson Golden Harvest started with a tent and a dream in Pembroke, NH in August of 2009! We started with produce from one local farm and soon had five or six local growers involved. It took only a few weeks to realize how much we truly loved our new concept. What a blessing it is to be able to provide healthy food to people as well as give farmers a place to market their products locally. As the colder weather approached, we had to make a choice. Either we stay closed for the season or come up with a small shelter and stay open all winter.

Our first farm stand

We upgraded to our farm stand shed

After pulling and old shed out of the woods and covering it with a coat of paint and a touch of love, we turned on the heat and were ready for old man winter. Our plan was such that this would get us through the cold months and we could construct something else there in the spring. After operating out of the shed for a few months, it became apparent that God had a different plan in mind.

The shed in Pembroke closed at the end of 2009 and in August in 2010, Johnson Golden Harvest was blessed to open their newest location in Hooksett, NH. Through the years, we valued our customer needs and brought in products that were important to them.

Today, we are a farm market that specializes in local produce, pasture-raised local meats, fresh cage free eggs and raw milk among so much more. We are proud to be a one stop farm market!
