Buttery Garlic Green Beans

1 pound of fresh NH green beans
3 tablespoons of butter
3 cloves of minced garlic
lemon pepper to taste
salt to taste

1.  Snap the ends off of the green beans.
2.  Place green beans in a large skillet and cover with water.
3.  Bring the water to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.  
5.  Drain water.
6.  Add the butter to the green beans.
7.  Cook and stir until the butter is melted.  
8.  Cook and stir the garlic with the green beans for 4 minutes or until the garlic is tender. 
9.  Season with lemon pepper and salt.
